Four Music Playlists To Help You Find Calmness & Ease Your Day
Specially as we navigate turbulent times. From my humble music corner to yours.

It’s heavy days for the world…
The Us election has everyone watching, feeling all the things, and hoping for the best. The Middle East has our hearts hanging from a string. The hurricanes and the floods everywhere, the wars and so much more.
I’ve personally been humbled by the floods in Spain in the last few days. Spain is my second home, the place where the best versions of myself have been born. The place where my independent adult life came online, alive and free. The place where I have felt the most Me. The images from Valencia are devastating, the news don’t share enough. And yet, people from all over the country are driving and walking miles to help residents find light in the middle of this darkness.
This all makes me think and feel very deeply.
The world seems so unfair at times.…like we live in a really bad place. But despite this all, I want to stay hopeful. I want to believe in humanity and our ability to be resilient, to help, to voice our causes, and to be part of the change.
Look, I’m not American or a politician or an influential person with massive followings. I’m neither someone suffering on any of the many grounds zero in the world today (for what I feel absolutely blessed and grateful). Instead, I’m simply human. I’m a tiny voice in this ocean…and from my corner of the world, I know I’m here to help. To give back. To put something out there that might help others as they navigate their own difficulties.
What I am too, among other things, is a musical person. Music is the language of my soul. Through music I can breathe away the stressors of any day; get lost in my energy, my mind and my body as I recharge from life. Through music I can either let my body go loose as I dance and shake every single worry away, or sit still while the magic of notes bring my entire being into calmness.
I don’t know about you but music has been so present in my life, vibrating through my every cell. Have I told you that I played the violin for a while? I was 22 years old, going through the boiling pressures of med school into year 4, and feeling a strong pull to finally get my hands on that old dream of mine. Oh boy, did it make me vibe!
Have you ever found solace in music? Maybe you’ve found energy, inspiration, and empowerment, or maybe calmness and stillness, or maybe it helped you channel rough feelings at a specific time of your life? I know I have.
Music has a power that is difficult to explain.
Why am I telling you all this? Because…
I want to bring you today a slice of my musical corner, hoping that it might help you find calmness, solitude, peacefulness or any other state of mind that you might need anytime, these days or in the future.
I’ve created 4 public lists on Spotify for you, so that you can follow and listen anytime you want.
Music to help you find calmness, unwind, slow down, rest, focus, or even add some energy to you day, all depending on your needs. I’ll leave them right here for you. And I’ll keep adding songs that speak to me as I go.
(They’re on Spotify so feel free to follow them if you’re in there. If you’re not familiar with Spotify, it’s a free platform where you can listen to music, create playlists, find songs, follow someone’s playlists, listen to podcasts and more. I find it really easy to use, so I hope this helps.)
Music Playlist #1: Feel Good Calm
Music Playlist #2: Feel Good Chill
Music Playlist #4: Feel Good Focus
Music Playlist #3: Feel Good Energy
I hope these lists come at a good time for you. May they be helpful as you connect within to find the calmness on any regular, messy day, like we all have.
These particular days, with elections in the US and so much more going on, made me feel like I wanted to bring a corner of peace and hope for you all.
In the days ahead, please be safe, stay hopeful and listen to the music. ❤️
With much love from my music corner to yours,
Dr. Mariana
