Yaaaay this is great! And don't be sorry, don't worry! What matters is that you're here and you're doing it at your own pace, which serves the right purpose for YOU. That's gold! Kudos on you for showing up for yourself. 🥰🎉
I have tried putting my phone out of the bedroom at night before. Not sure why I didn’t stick to it because it really did change my morning; the start to the day. After a little while I didn’t even think to pick it up until I’d done a few other things.
I WILL start that again tonight - phone away... look forward to reading your thoughts on this.
Hi Nicole! So glad and happy to hear this. And I'm glad it's serving as a reminder.
Isn't it fascinating how the brain works and responds to those little tweaks in amazing ways? I have found out that even just putting my phone on the floor and away from my hands reach will allow my to mentally disconnect from it, specially when I'm travelling and I can't have a solid night table clock with me all the time.
I always say how the brain is like a little kid. All it wants it's love, attention and definitely it requires routines regardless of our age! This comparison never fails to make it clear to my patients how vital (and easy fun) it can be.
I'm so glad you're enjoying the course! It's the first out of many planned ahead. And stay tuned as I'll be doing an AMA in Chat and also a proper Q&A zoom session after the course is finished. I'll be sharing in advance through the newsletter!🎉 Hugs 🤗
I didn't know that about 8 glasses of water a day. The reason I drink so much water is to feel a little more satiated so I don't eat as much lol. But I do crave water sometimes AND I get migraines so I'm just trying to stay hydrated as best I can.
That's a good thing to do regarding apetite and satiation! Many people recommend it, particularly before meals rather than after meals, as it can affect the digestion process. Also, it depends a lot on your diet. An example: If you eat a high fibre diet, your body will ask you for more water so that it can process it and do everything it needs to do with it.
There can also be other medical reasons, hormones depending on which part of the cycle (if any) you're going through and so on. I get incredibly thirsty the few hours right before my period is going to come. I don't take contraception or anything related, and it's super interesting how I've learned to recognise these little patterns of my body, just as another example. If you exercise, then an extra 500ml or even 1000ml need to be added to your system to compensate the fluid loss through sweat and breathing. Even when we sleep, on an average night sleep,we can loose up to 1 litre of water just through breath and sweat overnight! It's fascinating stuff. And it all depends so much on your activities, your habits, your stress levels, your hormone cycles, and so much more. It's very unique so that's why the rule of 8-glasses a day its only a baseline for understanding hydration, but it's not the golden rule because we are all different and having different bodily requirements every day.
I love explaining all this stuff, I hope it's clear enough! 😉
HOLY SMOKES! That was SO much information I never knew! It also explains a few things, the high fibre in particular. I'm pretty much vegetarian and eat a very high fibre diet. Also, I'm 50 and am starting on the night sweats ordeal 😂😂
Oh yay I'm so glad! My pleasure! This is all the stuff that I want to keep sharing and teaching, it's all easy stuff somehow but doctors tend to fail to explain the basics and it's just so needed, right??? I've felt that as a patient so that's why I'm here being super stubborn about my vision to help in this way, so yay! 🙌🏼
Our bodies are a whole little universe with endless reactions and interactions happening, it's insane and amazing at the same time! 😉
This was awesome!!!!
Hi Ellen! I'm so glad! Welcome to the Feel Good magic 😉
Loving these so far! (Sorry it's taking me so long to read them.) 😊

Loved this! Now I’ll have to go back and catch up on the lessons ☺️
